About the role:

Modular is building a next-generation AI infrastructure platform, including an engine that connects the many application frameworks and hardware backends, simplifying deployment for AI production teams. In this role, you are responsible for driving the messaging and positioning of Modular products across all communication mediums. You will work closely with product management and developer advocacy to understand user needs and create collateral that resonates with our enterprise customers and community. LOCATION: Candidates based in the US or Canada are welcome to apply. You can work out of one of our offices in Seattle, WA, or remotely from home.

What you will do:

  • Develop compelling product messaging across all of Modular’s external product surfaces (e.g., Modular.com) that clearly articulates the value of Modular products to our target customers and community.
  • Partner with product management, engineering, and operations to develop industry leading product events, including inspiring executive keynotes and captivating product demonstrations
  • Create or manage the development of marketing collateral across various content types (written, video, presentation, social media, etc)
  • Conduct market research to better understand the needs of our customers and community, industry trends, and competitors.
  • Monitor the performance (usage, feedback, etc.) of Modulars products in the marketplace to identify areas for improvement and areas of strength
  • Collaborate with Modular product management and engineering teams to ensure cohesive, successful product positioning and messaging

What you bring to the table:

  • 7+ years in technical product marketing or similar role.
  • Experience building marketing content and assets for developer communities
  • Experience working with AI/ML infrastructure products such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, TensorRT, and CUDA, and knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, VertexAI, and Sagemaker.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, working across multiple engineering, developer advocacy, and product teams, delivering complex technical projects on time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical subject matter and material to stakeholders of various sizes and knowledge levels.
  • A passion for staying up to date with industry trends and happenings.
  • A growth and leadership mindset, with an attitude that seeks to learn more from our customers, team, and the broader market.

Helpful experience (optional)

  • Prior experience working in ML Engineering/Ops.
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in AI, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • Have worked in or around startups before or have a strong understanding of the nature of fast-moving, highly dynamic teams.

The estimated base salary range for this role to be performed in the US, regardless of the state, is $234,000.00 - $286,000.00 USD. The salary for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of permissible, non-discriminatory job-related factors, which include but are not limited to education, training, work experience, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future. The total compensation for a candidate will also include annual target bonus, equity, and benefits, with equity making up a significant portion of your total compensation.
