As the Moderation Manager, you are responsible for leading and managing moderation teams across multiple regions (UK, US, AUS). You work closely with the Head of Support, Online Policy and Safety Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure our platform remains safe and the content generated aligns with our guidelines. You will play a critical role in training and developing team members, ensuring their proficiency in content moderation workflows and guidelines. A strong attention to detail, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously are essential for success in this role.
The role...
- Lead and manage moderation teams across the UK, US, and Australia.
- Develop and implement effective moderation strategies and workflows in line with company guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Head of Support, Online Policy and Safety Manager, and other cross-functional teams to maintain a safe and engaging platform.
- Train and mentor moderation team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Ensure adherence to content moderation guidelines and policies, continuously improving processes.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure high-quality moderation outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Head of Support to establish and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content moderation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in content moderation and safety to drive continuous improvement.
About you...
- At least 2 years experience in a moderation leadership role in a technology company or online platform.
- Strong understanding of content moderation guidelines, policies, and workflows.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing teams effectively.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for maintaining a safe online environment and ensuring adherence to policies and guidelines.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones and manage teams in different regions.
- Accuracy and effectiveness of content moderation across the platform.
- Timeliness in handling moderation queues and addressing user generated issues.
- Employee satisfaction and team development (e.g., training, performance reviews, career growth).
- Compliance with content moderation policies and guidelines.
- Reduction in policy violations and user generated issues.
- Collaborative partnerships with other teams, such as Online Policy and Safety, Support, and Product.
In this role, you will typically work from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. However, due to our global presence and diverse customer base, we recognise the importance of being available around the clock to provide support. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can be adaptable and adjust their working hours to accommodate the evolving needs of the company, customers, and teams as required..
