Job Duties
Research and development of world-class state estimation, mapping, and artificial intelligence algorithms; perform analysis of project data to determine specifications or requirements; analysis of robot flight data from field experiments to diagnose causes of failure and troubleshoot poor algorithm performance, apply mathematical principles or statistical approaches to solve problems in scientific or applied fields; responsible for comprehensive enhancement of sensor models within a state-of-the-art simulation environment; development of a new sensor front-end for the state estimator; understanding of the sensor model and the various use-cases for the sensor; produce an accurate and consistent overall state estimate; research, development, implementation, and testing of computationally efficient state estimation algorithms that provide robust, accurate estimates of a robot's pose at all times as it moves through a wide range of environments; analysis of robot flight data from field experiments to diagnose causes of failure and troubleshoot poor algorithm performance; documentation of mathematical derivations and theory-based justifications associated with state estimation algorithms; communicating state estimation design decisions to stakeholders from other technical teams; keeping abreast of current research in fields relevant to state estimation to supply novel ideas to solve current problems and inspire future algorithm development.

Job Requirements
Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
