We are seeking a talented Head of Field Marketing to join Synthesia. This is a brand new role reporting into our VP of Marketing and we need someone who is strategically revenue focused whilst creative; who can combine the two to deliver incredible events at Synthesia. Please note that whilst we're ideally looking for someone in NYC, we're open to locations on the East Coast providing you're willing to travel for events when required.

About the role...
The new Head of Field Marketing will build out our events strategy to drive new business and retention at Synthesia. We're looking for a creative, talented individual with a proven track record of successfully organizing and managing sales-led and direct events for Business to Business scale-ups. While we have participated in 15+ conferences over the last 3 years, you will elevate our event strategy to the next level. We need an experienced individual with masses of enthusiasm and passion for our future goals; someone who feels deeply passionate about becoming an owner in our success.
We recently achieved Unicorn status and we have huge revenue ambitions to achieve through new business and expansion. You will use your experience running creative B2B events to drive both of these metrics, collaborating closely with revenue leaders to determine the most effective strategies. It's vital that you bring management experience to this role as we expect the team to grow in 2024 (right now, it's just our brilliant Events Manager).
Please note that this role will require regular travel between our European and US offices in addition to the events you will be organizing. It's essential that you're open and willing to travel as and when required.
What you will be doing…
- Owning and managing all Field Marketing and Events strategy at Synthesia.
- Taking ownership of detailed budgeting, planning, ROI analysis, and stakeholder communication for Synthesia customer and industry events moving forward.
- Gaining a deep understanding of our ideal customer profile (ICP) and identifying, organizing, and running international events with the ultimate goal of driving revenue for Synthesia.
- Managing and mentoring our current Field Marketing Manager and growing the team as and when necessary.
- Driving and enabling stakeholder engagement with Synthesia events - both internally and externally.
- Creating and monitoring relevant metrics to demonstrate event impact and scheduling and leading post-event debriefs in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Ensuring all meetings and leads are through Salesforce (CRM) to correctly attribute ROI for every event, holding teams accountable where needed.
We’d love to hear from you if you have…
- Around 7+ years of experience working in a Field Marketing role in high-growth SaaS organizations where you’ve built and run in-person events for 100+ people.
- A unique creative flair for events - you have multiple examples of unique event/booth/tradeshow experiences you’ve conceptualized that have driven ROI, and you're bringing the ideas we haven't thought of.
- In-depth experience and success collaborating with Sales leadership around events, with a focus on lead-generation and driving ROI for prospects and current customers - you're an Account Based Marketing pro!
- Experience leading a successful Field Marketing team and business unit.
- Owned reporting on event success and budget management.
- Masses of enthusiasm for the Synthesia product, journey, and goals.
- A demonstrable passion and drive for fast-growth B2B SaaS organizations - you’ve done this journey before and you’re excited to embrace it again.
- Marketing and creative instinct - while we’re not expecting you to be a marketer, we need you to understand the wider context and be able to work with content and creative to build incredible events for Synthesia.
We’d be particularly excited if you have
- Experience launching and running Customer Advisory Boards, as this is a key objective for us in 2024.
- Some experience in a creative-led events agency.

Salary
For someone bringing the experience we're looking for, we're looking to pay up to around $180,000 + stock options. For someone who is bringing a breadth of this experience + more, we can pay up to around $200,000 + stock options. We utilize market data, our compensation strategy, and your evaluated experience and capabilities from our interview process to determine salaries.
