Software Engineer - Streaming Infra

Position Overview:

Reporting into Raghu Nallamothu, in this role, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to deliver top-tier video streaming experiences. You will be responsible for optimizing video performance, leveraging advanced video codecs, and ensuring the highest quality in live and recorded video streams. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing our video streaming solutions.

• Implement performance optimization techniques for live and recorded video streams to provide a seamless and responsive viewing experience.
• Explore and implement cutting-edge hardware solutions to maximize video streaming efficiency and quality.
• Establish rigorous quality control measures and conduct thorough quality checks to uphold exceptional video streaming standards.

The amazing skills you'll bring to Ambient.ai:

• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing video streaming solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize video performance and quality.
• Familiarity with various hardware solutions and their potential to enhance video streaming.
• Expertise in programming languages, especially Python/C++, and sound knowledge of software development best practices.
• Experience with WebRTC server or similar streaming solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a knack for troubleshooting and resolving video streaming issues.
• Staying at the forefront of video streaming technology advancements, continually proposing enhancements and improvements.

We take a market-based approach to pay here at Ambient.ai, and pay may vary depending on multiple factors. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, level, market conditions, and internal parity. 

Base salary is just one component of our total rewards package. As a fast-growing start-up, our regular employees are also granted stock options, and an opportunity to succeed when Ambient.ai succeeds.  As a young start-up with product market fit, our stock upside is substantial, and a large part of our total rewards strategy. 

The pay scale below represents the starting base salary range we expect to pay for this position, and is subject to change*: 

SF Bay Area:  $140,000 - $170,000  

*From time to time, we may decide to make an offer to a candidate that is either leveled below or above this role based on skills, experience, and interview performance.
