Software Engineer, Developer Experience

Position Summary
Adept thrives at the intersection of research and product. In this role, you will improve our development systems for engineers and researchers working on our enterprise product. You’ll collaborate closely with the rest of the engineering team to build reliable, performant and delightful tools to help them develop great software quickly.
The ideal candidate is a software engineer who cares a lot about developer tooling and wants to enable cutting edge research to ship to end users. Your scope will include everything from how software components are built, tested, deployed, released and monitored across all environments, from the local machine through to the production clusters. You will develop new strategies to help maintain the quality, reliability, security, performance and cost effectiveness of our product and platform.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript, and the intricacies of their build ecosystems
- Experience with Cloud Development Environments
- Experience with DevOps tools and technologies such as: Kubernetes, Azure, Github, DataDog, Sentry, NewRelic, Docker, PostHog, etc
- Deep empathy for the needs of software engineers working in product teams
- Desire to help your fellow engineers achieve maximum efficiency
- Data-driven and passionate about using metrics to define your priorities
The pay range for this position in California is $175,000 - $350,000yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
