About Jewel Paymentech
We are a financial risk technology company founded in 2014 with a mission to develop intelligent risk solutions for the banking and electronic payments industry and acquired by Advance Intelligence Group in 2022. About the role:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing state-of-the-art DevOps practices to elevate our development and deployment processes. You will design, deploy and manage AWS-based and on premise infrastructure and solutions, related database, storage and network technologies, that power our platform, to ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of our runtime platform.
You will:
• Test/PoC/Investigate new technologies
• Design and optimize orchestration and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration/deployment and streamline software delivery; champion automation to accelerate release cycle and enhance code quality.
• Architect, develop and maintain relevant cloud platform standards, processes and controls for configuration and release activities
• Install and update core software, interfaces, database and web services regularly
• Protects systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
• Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively respond to system alerts & warnings, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments, maintenance of solutions and correction of build errors
• Involve in project management and delivery planning for on premise deployment and provide resolutions to technical issues and general advice when needed
• Assists with company’s periodic security audits and reviews, risk analysis, network forensics and penetration testing per IT policies & procedures
• Supports the design, development, installation, implementation and administration of network and server backup solutions as well as participate in company’s business continuity and platforms/solutions disaster recovery plans
• Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
• Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems
What you'll need to succeed:
• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Engineering, IT, Science, or related discipline
• Proven minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer with a focus on CI/CD, automation and orchestration tools i.e. Docker containers which are application-centric rather than component-specific
• Experience in designing a DevSecOps environment, implementing and maintaining it with compliance to regulatory & compliance framework – PCI, GDPR, PDPA, PDPC
• Solid delivery experience of DevOps solutions on cloud computing platforms such as AWS/AliCloud/GCP
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Capable of handling and administering physical IT infrastructure, and able to support hybrid infrastructure model
• Familiar with application performance monitoring (APM) system
• Ability to automate repeatable processes via scripts (e.g. via Terraform, bash, Powershell, Ruby, Perl, JS, Python, etc.)
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g. VMware, Virtual Box)
• Highly motivated to explore new technologies
