Digital Marketing Coordinator

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to support day-to-day marketing operations. Although our headquarters is in Palo Alto, we are open to remote workers as long as they can work roughly San Francisco business hours (PDT / GMT -7). This role will be reporting directly to the Digital Marketing Manager, and dotted line to the Director of Marketing and Communications.

This is a full-time contractor role for candidates based in Colombia.
Main responsibilities:
  • Play a key role in supporting marketing initiatives. You will provide support in various marketing campaigns and experiments, including assisting in the development and execution of digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to our platform, and coordinating with various teams to ensure seamless implementation of marketing initiatives. 
  • Enhance campaign effectiveness through data tracking and reporting. You will assist in monitoring, analyzing, and preparing our key metrics report, including web traffic, enrollment, and campaign performance data, to inform marketing strategies and decisions. You will also ensure we implement the best practices for data gathering, such as creating and tracking UTM parameters. 
  • Assist in managing and optimizing marketing channels including: Email marketing: Create, schedule, and manage newsletter marketing campaigns, including The Batch and Data Points, and automated workflows. Monitor and analyze email performance metrics to optimize future campaigns and improve engagement rates. Website: Update and maintain website content, including The Batch and Data Points, ensuring it is current, accurate, and aligned with our brand voice. Work with web developers to implement design changes, new features, and enhancements. Public inboxes manage and respond to our public inboxes, and elevate appropriate opportunities to the stakeholders.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Support other marketing activities as needed, including content creation, social media management, and event planning.
  • Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in digital marketing, marketing operations, or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing marketing campaigns via standard MarTech platforms/tools is a plus (e.g. HubSpot, WordPress, Ghost, Google Analytics 4)
  • Outstanding organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • An acute attention to detail and desire for perfection.
  • Quick learner and self-driven - can set and meet deadlines.
  • Bonus if you have:
  • Worked in a small team at a fast-paced startup.
  • Used GenAI such as ChatGPT for work-related tasks.
  • Familiarity with computer science, programming, and/or AI technology.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and database structure.
