Physical Security Manager

Anthropic is seeking a Physical Security Manager to build out a physical security team. In this key role, you will provide daily physical and administrative security support while interfacing with both internal stakeholders and external visitors. You will be responsible for all physical and personnel security, risk management, and security education and awareness for the company. Working closely with leadership, you will provide a variety of security related services and guidance to support physical security and personnel clearance administration.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain physical and personnel security programs including security assessments, controls and procedures.
- Identify and assess physical security risks, and translate them into actionable tasks for the organization.
- Provide administrative security support, such as visitor intake.
- Shape physical and personnel security policies and procedures to embed security into facility design, operations, and employee practices.
- Lead and manage the physical security team to successfully deliver on their goals, and help represent their efforts to the rest of the organization.
- Collaborate with facilities, HR, and IT teams to integrate security into their workflows and processes.
- Oversee security education and awareness training programs for all employees.
- Review and approve personnel security clearance requests.
- Investigate security incidents and breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
- Design the security posture of remote sites and shared office spaces
- Ensure compliance with applicable physical security laws and regulations.
- Manage security budget and approve expenditures.

- 10 years of physical security experience.
- 5 years of experience managing a physical security team.
- Regular communication with organizational leaders.
- Implemented long-term, complex physical security projects
- Coordinating change management and company-wide announcements.

Annual Salary (USD)
The expected salary range for this position is $230 - 270k.
Job-specific hybrid policy
Please note that for this role, we require candidates to be onsite at our San Francisco office 5 days a week for the first year.
