Product Manager, Generalist

As a Product Manager at Anthropic, you will own the ideation and deployment of new and existing products as we advance frontier, safe AI technology. You will work collaboratively with our engineering, data, design, GTM, and research teams to deliver the strategy, vision and execution for products that bring the latest frontier AI to the world amidst a rapidly changing technical and business landscape. The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about developing safe and beneficial artificial intelligence technologies. You have experience launching innovative products from 0 to 1, and at scale. You thrive in ambiguous environments and add velocity and creativity to product teams. Your natural curiosity and passion for understanding user needs enables you to define successful products that deliver real value.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of innovative applications that leverage our latest models’ capabilities, defining an ambitious roadmap for product development and expansion in ambiguous and uncharted areas
  • Rapidly prototype different products and services to learn how the latest frontier AI can help solve real problems for users
  • Synthesize user insights into actionable product requirements, user stories, and product specifications
  • Analyze metrics to inform product success and evolution, ensuring applications provide value and exceptional user experience
  • Deeply understand the AI landscape, ensuring we have an objective view of market capabilities and our position.
  • You might be a good fit if you have:
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, launching innovative products from 0 to 1, and at scale
  • A technical background with the ability to work with engineering teams and have meaningful conversations with our partner developers. Knowledge of AI/ML and software engineering experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make strategic, business decisions. You enjoy empirical, data-driven approaches to deployment
  • The ability to navigate and execute amidst ambiguity, and to flex into different domains based on the business problem at hand,  finding simple, easy-to-understand solutions
  • Successfully launched zero-to-one products that have found distribution or commercial success. Experience gathering feedback, input and data from users and running beta tests
  • Excitement for engaging in cross-organizational collaboration, working through trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complicated topics in easily understandable terms to a diverse set of external and internal stakeholders. You enjoy engaging in cross-organizational collaboration, working through trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities
  • Passion for thinking creatively about how to use technology in a way that is safe and beneficial, and ultimately furthers the goal of advancing safe AI systems
  • Annual Salary:
  • The expected salary range for this position is $275k - $375k.

  • Logistics
    Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in our office at least 25% of the time.

    Compensation and Benefits*
    Anthropic’s compensation package consists of three elements: salary, equity, and benefits. We are committed to pay fairness and aim for these three elements collectively to be highly competitive with market rates.

    Equity - On top of this position's salary (listed above), equity will be a major component of the total compensation. We aim to offer higher-than-average equity compensation for a company of our size, and communicate equity amounts at the time of offer issuance.
