At Bifrost, we are building generative engines that allow users to create and control 3D worlds. Our goal is to empower everyone to create limitless 3D worlds and images. Our tool has enabled users to achieve incredible capabilities such as autonomously landing spacecraft on Mars, detecting pirates in the Atlantic Ocean, mapping the world from space, and generating synthetic data to train AI systems 10 times faster.

Software Engineering Intern

🌍 Your Main Quest

Platform Engineers build internal tools that help our technical artists and software engineering teams work more efficiently and effectively.

This internship offers the opportunity to gain quality experience working alongside experienced engineers. The intern will own a well-scoped project, working on tasks such as:

  • classic full-stack stuff, like writing backend API servers and web pages
  • instrumenting monitoring tools to track the performance of our applications
  • hacking out scripts to analyse some data or automate some tasks, then later incorporating them into a CLI tool, cron server or CI/CD job
  • writing plugins for the software we rely on, such as Unreal Engine and Blender

By the end of the internship, you will be expected to have gained experience in:

  • Writing high-quality code in more than one programming languages
  • Seeing a project through from development to production
  • Presenting your work, many times

📜 Qualifications

You will be a good fit for this role if:

  • You know some Python, and enjoy the idea of picking up something new.
  • You have used relational or non-relational databases
  • You know basic Git workflows
  • You are familiar working in Linux-based operating systems

✨ Bonus

Let us know if you have one or more of the following experiences!

  • Familiar with lower-level languages, such as C++
  • Experience with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience setting up cloud infrastructure on AWS
