C3 AI is seeking a full-time Facility Security Officer (FSO). This position, located in Tysons Corner, VA, is responsible for supervising and directing security measures within C3 AI. This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance. 

The FSO implements and proactively manages C3.AI’s robust security program in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Defense Security Service (DSS) regulations, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and agency-specific requirements.  The FSO will process and review personnel security clearances and maintain all security documentation, files, and clearance lists in accordance with government requirements while focusing on operational improvements to mitigate vulnerabilities.   

 Responsibilities: 

  • Actively manage security policy and procedures to ensure compliance with the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other government security regulations. 
  • Provide on-site support for all security actions and serve as the liaison with US Government counterparts, conduct security briefings and debriefings, monitor classified controlled areas, and perform periodic self-inspections. 
  • Provide and document new employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefing, investigate and report security violations and incidents. 
  • Maintain FCL documentation and submission in accordance with DCSA requirements. 
  • Manage and develop annual refresher training to include preparing necessary documentation in support of the DCSA audits.  
  • Interpret government policies for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of security plans and procedures. 
  • Provide support to Human Resources, Legal, Contracts, Proposal teams, and other departments. 
  • Process initial investigations and periodic reinvestigation for personnel clearances.
  • Process clearance transfers to C3 AI. 
  • Process digital fingerprinting for initial and upgrade investigations for personnel clearances. 
  • Assist with Security Vulnerability Assessments and create and maintain personnel security files. 
  • Submit hard/soft-copy and DISS Visit Authorization Requests.
  • Submit Incident Reports. 
  • Maintain and continuously improve records, databases, Security Practice & Procedures (SPP) and forms for documentation purposes. 
  • Maintain working relationships with government representatives, teaming partners, industry counterparts, C3 AI departments, and C3 AI contract managers. 
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of industrial security management policies, procedures, requirements, and practices within DoD and the IC. 
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of NISS, Electronic-Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), NBIS, DISS, and NISPOM.  
  • Process DD254 for subcontracts.
  • Quickly process visit authorization requests (VAR) and foreign travel requests. 

Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of industrial security experience performing the functions of implementing and managing security policies in compliance with federal regulations, document control, visitor control, and security education of employees.
  • Bachelor's degree and eligible to meet all applicable training and certification requirements for the FSO role. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation, written, communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated by ability to prepare comprehensive reports and deliver security briefings and trainings to C3 AI leaders, C3 AI individual contributors, and government personnel.
  • Experience with use of the Scattered Castles and other Intelligence Community clearance databases. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and security systems like NBIS, DISS, and NISS.
  • An active Top-Secret Clearance.
