C3 AI is seeking a full-time Facility Security Officer (FSO). This position, located in Tysons Corner, VA, is responsible for supervising and directing security measures within C3 AI. This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance. 

The FSO manages, administers and coordinates C3.ai’s industrial security programs for the DoD and other agencies, and implements relevant security policies and programs to ensure compliance with government guidelines. The FSO will process and review personnel security clearances and maintain all security documentation, files, and clearance and suitability rosters in accordance with government requirements. The FSO will have an understanding and experience of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and general security requirements for DOD and other Federal agencies. 

 Responsibilities: 

  • Implement security policy and procedures to ensure compliance with the NISPOM and other government security regulations. 
  • Provide on-site support for all security actions and serve as the liaison with US Government counterparts, conduct security briefings and debriefings, monitor classified controlled areas, and perform periodic self-inspections. 
  • Provide and document new employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefing, investigate and report security violations and incidents. 
  • Maintain FCL documentation and submission in accordance with DCSA requirements 
  • Manage and develop annual refresher training to include preparing necessary documentation in support of the DCSA audits.  
  • Interpret government policies for the development and implementation of security plans and procedures. 
  • Provide support to Human Resources, Contracts, and Proposal teams. 
  • Process initial investigations and periodic reinvestigation for personnel clearances. Process clearance transfers to C3 AI. 
  • Process digital fingerprinting for initial and upgrade investigations for personnel clearances. 
  • Assist with Security Vulnerability Assessments and create and maintain personnel security files. 
  • Submit hard/soft-copy and DISS Visit Authorization Requests. Submit Incident Reports. 
  • Maintain records, databases, Security Practice & Procedures (SPP) and forms for documentation purposes. 
  • Maintain working relationships with government representatives, teaming partners, industry counterparts, departments and company contract managers. 
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of industrial security management policies, procedures, requirements, and practices. 
  • Conduct periodic self-inspections bi-annually or as required by Defense Security Service (DSS) and other reviews as directed by the government. 
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of NISS, Electronic-Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), and NISPOM.  
  • Process DD254 for subcontracts, visit authorization processing for US and foreign travel. 

Qualifications: 

  • 2-5 years of industrial security experience performing the functions of implementing security policies in compliance with federal regulations, document control, visitor control, and security education of employees. Including knowledge of government classified contract process. 
  • Bachelor's degree and completion of DSS Academy FSO Course 
  • Experience with protection requirements for handling and safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) 
  • Excellent presentation, written, communication with keen attention to detail and interpersonal skills 
  • An active Top-Secret Clearance
