This role involves leading our Credit Builder Card product and building it into being a core part of the overall Cleo experience. The card will be at the center of our vision to help people spend better and smash fees.

WE are looking for a Fintech focused Product Director to come and make a continued success of our Credit Builder Card:

  • Enhance financial access, supporting our mission to make financial health universally attainable.
  • Early Paycheck Access and Emergency Cash: Facilitate up to 2 days early paycheck access and emergency cash, crucial for alleviating financial strain.
  • User-Friendly Experience: Maintain and innovate on a product with over 130k positive app reviews, ensuring it remains a trusted financial tool.
  • Credit Building Subscription: Lead the development of the Credit Builder Subscription, designed to help rebuild and establish credit without debt.

You will:

  • Report to our VP Growth
  • Own the vision, long term strategy, and product roadmap for our credit builder card 
  • Hire, build, develop, and lead a high performing product management team
  • Work closely with a wide range of partners in product, engineering, design, user research, partnerships, compliance and data to ensure Cleo is delivering to business and users needs
  • Consistently deliver impactful initiatives that deliver immense customer value and business results

 

Our key requirements:

  • We're looking for a Product leader with a wealth of experience from fintech high-growth investor-backed tech companies.
  • Creativity. We're radically changing how people interact with and feel about their finances. You'll bring experience of building consumer credit/card products to the Cleo ecosystem
  • Experience building both new products (0→1) as well as track record of shipping continuous product improvements to an existing product portfolio, ideally for a consumer-facing mobile app
  • Seasoned product leadership, strategy, and vision in a growth-focused B2C environment. Experience building disruptive consumer card or credit products characterised by first-class user experience, reliability, and scalability.
  • People leadership: An inspiring, engaging people leader and outstanding communicator. Proven track record in developing Product Managers, and motivating teams.
  • Execution-focused product delivery and bias for action: Proven ability to build world-class products loved by users, delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Cultural, mission, and values fit: Strong alignment with Cleo’s values, purpose, and culture. Suited to working in a high-growth, disruptive, founder-led company.

How long will the process take?

We aim to move as fast as possible. Usually 2-3 weeks is enough time for us all to get to know each other.

  • Step 1: Video call with a member of our Talent Team to find out more about your experience and why you want to work at Cleo
  • Step 2: 1 hour call with our VP Growth
  • Step 3: Product task which will then be presented to our Product Directors
  • Step 4: 
    • 45 minutes with cross-functional peers from design, data, engineering, and commercial
    • 45 minutes with our Founder Barney
