This role involves leading the Payments and Fraud pillar of Cleo part of a wider Money pillar thats made up of 5 squads.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Vision and Strategy: Own the vision, long-term strategy, and roadmap for the Payments and Fraud pillar, aligning with Cleo's overall business goals.
  • Leadership: Hire, build, develop, and lead a high-performing product management team, fostering an open and collaborative team culture.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with partners in product, engineering, design, user research, and data to ensure Cleo meets business and user needs.
  • Fraud Management: Spearhead the fraud management strategy, keeping it robust across all products. Analyse user behaviour for signs of fraud, refine risk control measures, and maintain minimal fraud rates.
  • Payments Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive payments strategy to enhance transaction efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Technology and Innovation: Advocate for the adoption of new technologies and services that can enhance fraud prevention and payment processing.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Regularly report payment success metrics and progress to senior leadership.
  • Customer Value: Consistently deliver impactful initiatives that provide immense customer value and drive business results.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Empower and collaborate with various teams to integrate payment components into new and existing products seamlessly.
  • Compliance: Maintain a close partnership with compliance to ensure all AML and compliance obligations are met.

We are looking for:

  • Expertise in Fraud and Payments: In-depth knowledge of fraud management and the US payments ecosystem.
  • Strategic and Analytical Skills: Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive strategies with measurable success, and top-notch analytical skills, especially with SQL.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership abilities with a track record of fostering collaboration across different teams and departments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with payment processing platforms, systems, and technologies, and familiarity with data science applications.
  • Creativity and Drive: A creative approach to problem-solving and the energy to ensure your product's success and impact.
  • Experience in Fintech: Previous experience in the fintech space, understanding the dynamics of financial technologies.
