Systems Administrator

About the role
 
The System Administrator will be responsible for managing Cluster, Slurm expert, maintaining, and supporting our company's IT systems and infrastructure. This includes servers, networks, and other critical components to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of experience in system administration, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing IT environments.
 
What you'll do
    • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and applications.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and efficiency.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
    • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
    • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and resolve IT-related issues.
    • Collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement infrastructure improvements.
    • Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
What we're seeking
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Cluster management and Slurm experience.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and server administration.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
  • Proficient in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
