Copy.ai is a fully remote company. All employees must be able to work 9am-5pm in their timezone, Pacific to Eastern.

As an Engineering Manager you will be in the middle of it all – implementing functionality, architecting our system, squashing bugs, maintaining the health of our code, and continually growing as an engineer.
You’ll get a chance to contribute meaningfully to the success of our organization. You will play a large part in hiring and mentoring more junior engineers. We believe it’s an opportunity to do career-defining work.
What you'll do:
  • Oversee and contribute to a team of software engineers developing magical experiences.
  • Coach, mentor, and lead a small and high-performing team of senior fullstack engineers
  • Partner with the Head of Engineering to drive plans, processes, structure and execution for the engineering org.
  • Advocate for code quality, new technologies, and architectural design within the company.
  • Support initiatives to improve engineering efficiency, quality, and happiness.
  • Collaborate with product and GTM Teams to ship incredible features and products.
  • About you:
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience developing and deploying production-level products and systems
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing an engineering team
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and retain talented engineers
  • Ability how to drive company impact by balancing hands-on technical work and leading technical teams to peak performance
  • Experience leading large product and infrastructure initiatives for a technical team
  • Passion for and experience in building high-quality software and take immense pride in your craft
  • Experience working closely with other engineering teams and cross-functional teams like Product, Design, Sales, Solutions, and Marketing
  • Passion to work in and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high levels of ambiguity, autonomy and ownership
