Director, Corporate FP&A

Dataiku is looking for someone with integrity, energy, and a strong finance background to help establish the Corporate FP&A function within our broader FP&A team. This position will play a key role in cash management, financial statement forecasting and analysis, and building synergies between the FP&A, Strategic Finance, and Corporate Accounting functions. This is a role that will have high visibility with Finance leadership and members of the executive management team.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Cash forecasting and reporting
- Centralize forecasting and management of cash expenditures, working with our FP&A business partners to ensure exceptional forecast precision
- Forecast billings, collections, and future cash balances
- Maintain a rigorous cash burn reporting and actuals vs. budget/forecast process
- Work closely with the Corporate Accounting function to manage cash flow timing and prioritization
Consolidated financial statements
- Manage the consolidated financial statements (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet) and own the associated reporting, forecasting, and variance analyses
- Collaborate with the broader FP&A team to understand changes in the business and help explain impacts to our consolidated financial statements
- Bring better visibility to our financial statements on a regional and subsidiary basis
Financial reporting
- Lead the preparation of internal and external reporting packages including CFO reporting and Board materials
- Work with Finance leadership to help craft the story behind our financial results for distribution to internal and external stakeholders (Board meetings, investors)
Planning & analysis
- Collaborate with the FP&A business partners to help drive the annual budgeting process
- Assist with complex reporting, forecasting, or analysis projects which impact the business globally (variable compensation, taxes, capex, FX exposure)
- Lead a monthly flux analysis as part of the close process to validate results and explain variances to plan
You may be a good fit for this role if you have/are:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A/Finance roles, including 3+ years of Corporate FP&A experience
- BA/BS in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus
- Significant experience with cash forecasting and reporting
- Experience building and maintaining three-statement models
- Strong background in financial reporting and forecasting
- Strong familiarity with US GAAP and Accounting practices
- Expert-level Excel/Google Sheets spreadsheet skills and PowerPoint/Google Slides presentation skills
- Skilled at interpreting financial information and distilling it into a cohesive and meaningful story for leadership and other stakeholders
- Comfortable working directly with and presenting to senior executives
- Experience working in the software industry, high-growth, international, and/or public companies preferred
- Experience working with Adaptive Insights and/or Netsuite a plus
The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training. Eligible roles may also be entitled to receive commission or other variable compensation through Dataiku's incentive compensation program.
