Director, Strategic Pricing

As Director, Strategic Pricing you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that align with Dataiku’s growth objectives. In this newly added position, you’ll lead the efforts to establish our Global Pricing and Packaging, working cross functionally with executives, sales, marketing, product, operations, finance, and legal departments..
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated fluency building SaaS or Subscription based pricing best practices, an understanding of market trends, and a knack for monetizing pricing models that engage and add value to customers.
This is a key strategic and visible global role, leading a small team that reports directly into Dataiku’s SVP of GTM Strategy.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that achieve revenue targets in a high-growth and competitive AI/ML market
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on pricing trends and competitor pricing strategies
- Analyze customer behavior and identify opportunities to optimize pricing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, finance, and marketing, to develop and implement pricing strategies that engage customers
- Develop pricing models and tools to support pricing decisions and promote data-driven decision-making
- Monitor pricing performance and provide regular reporting to senior leadership
- Lead pricing reviews and present recommendations to leadership and ultimately execute the strategy
What you will bring:
- At least 5-8 years of experience in SaaS or Subscription based Global Pricing and Packaging Models
- Strategic planning mindset and roll-up-the-sleeves execution with the best in the industry
- Experience leading lean, high-functioning teams in a dynamic and scaling environment
- Strong analytical skills and experience, including experience analyzing and modeling data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively and partner with cross-functional teams
- Experience with pricing software and tools is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training. Eligible roles may also be entitled to receive commission or other variable compensation through Dataiku's incentive compensation program.
