What? [You'll be doing] 👀

As a Software Engineer, you'll join our growing Product team. You'll work together as a team as well as independently on making our software even better for our clients.

In this role, there is plenty of room for your ideas. Our team is growing and we'll support your growth ambitions as much as possible. We're flexible, and as long as you're proactive and take responsibility for your own work, we'll be a great match!

  • Design and develop our frontend, backend services and engineering culture
  • Coaching peers on your expertise
  • Help define our place in the MLOps toolchain
  • Collaborate with the team on priorities, specs, and progress
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools and techniques to improve our engineering practices

Within 1 month you'll:

  • Introduce an important improvement to the UX in the codebase
  • Fix two thorny unfixed bugs, which the team otherwise could not have done

Within 3 months you'll:

  • Help other team members say they’re learning a lot and are more productive because of you
  • Have helped us build new features quicker than we otherwise would have - our velocity has increased significantly

Within 6 months you'll:

  • Help introduce significant new features which radically improve our offering
  • Be proud of the the codebase and your output
  • Have become a key contributer to the product and have positively impacted the quality of the team

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Strong proficiency in Typescript/Javascript, CSS (SASS/SCSS) and HTML
  • Experienced with Angular or similar frameworks
  • Strong understanding of fundamental web technologies and standards, such as HTTP protocols, REST API's, WebSockets and JSON

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experienced with NodeJS and relevant frameworks (e.g. NestJS, Express)
  • Experienced with Microservice Architectures and relevant technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experienced with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Experienced with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Prior MLOps experience/demonstrable interest

How we proceed after the first talk: 📞

Because we think finding and hiring team members is one of the most important things we need to do right as a company, we designed a simple process so you know exactly how we proceed. We like to be quick, and typically complete our interview process within 2 weeks.

  1. Step 1: Apply for the job and give us a good impression of yourself. Next to a LinkedIn/CV, we are even more interested in personal projects that you are proud of.
  2. Step 2: You’ll have a quick 30-minute introduction call to one of the founders, where we are mainly interested in who you are, what you value and where you are proud of. We may highlight some interesting things we read in your application but we certainly are not going to discuss your CV step-by-step.
  3. Step 3: We invite you for our case assignment and give you a nice coding challenge. You work on the case by yourself but we will be available for questions. Preferably you will present your case to 2 team members with who you are likely to work together with in your job. We value your time, so we timebox the challenge to a maximum of 3 hours. Remember, experience is a nice bonus, but we mainly look at your engineering potential and team fit.
  4. Step 4: To make sure you will feel at home at Deeploy you meet another founder and team member to make sure no one has any doubts that you should be working at Deeploy soon!
