Visual Designer

Opportunity Summary:

Ema is building the next generation AI technology to empower every employee in the enterprise to be their most creative and productive. Our proprietary tech allows enterprises to delegate most repetitive tasks to Ema, the Universal AI employee. We are founded by ex-Google, Coinbase, Okta executives, and serial entrepreneurs. We’re well-funded by the top investors and angels in the world. Ema is based in Silicon Valley with offices in Bangalore. This will be a hybrid role where we expect employees to work from office three days a week.

In this role you will:

  • Marketing Design:

    • Develop creative concepts and designs for marketing materials such as technical blogs, sales brochures, product videos, social media graphics, and email campaigns.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand campaign objectives and create designs that effectively communicate key messages and drive engagement.
    • Ensure all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency in style, tone, and visual identity.
    • Stay updated on design trends and best practices in marketing design to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our visual assets.
  • Product Design:

    • Collaborate with UX designers to infuse user requirements and product objectives into aesthetically pleasing and impactful visual designs. Focus on typography, graphic elements, and color schemes to create compelling visual narratives for the Ema web application.
    • Develop and refine visual assets such as icons, infographics, and layout structures, ensuring they align with brand standards and enhance overall user engagement.
    • Perform visual audits and user feedback sessions to refine graphics, optimize design elements, and ensure visual coherence across all platforms.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate effectively with other designers, marketers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on design goals and objectives.
    • Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and critiques to provide and receive constructive feedback aimed at improving design solutions.
    • Actively contribute to a positive and creative work environment, sharing knowledge and expertise with team members and contributing to the overall success of the design team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Visual Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both marketing design and software product design, preferably for a B2B technology product.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, or equivalent software.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
  • Experience with responsive design and designing for multiple platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate and present design ideas to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
