Cloud Partnerships Manager

About Faculty

Faculty transforms organisational performance through safe, impactful and human-led AI.

We are Europe’s leading applied AI company, and saw its potential a decade ago - long before the current hype cycle.

We founded in 2014 with our Fellowship programme, training academics to become commercial data scientists.

Today, we provide over 300 global customers with industry-leading software, and bespoke AI consultancy for retail, healthcare, energy, and governmental organisations, as well as our award winning Fellowship.

Our expertise and safety credentials are such that OpenAI asked us to be their first technical partner, helping customers deploy cutting-edge generative AI safely.

Our high-impact work has saved lives through forecasting NHS demand during covid, produced green energy by routing boats towards the wind, slashed marketing spend by predicting customer spending habits, and kept children safe online.

AI is an epoch-defining technology. We want people to join us who can help our customers reap its enormous benefits safely.

About the role

As Faculty’s Cloud Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing partnerships with leading cloud service providers, such as Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. Your role will be crucial in developing and managing these relationships to benefit Faculty and our clients, and help us grow our revenues and our impact more broadly.

This role presents a unique opportunity to build a partnership initiative from the ground up. Currently, Faculty holds Advanced Tier status with AWS, but we have not yet managed to systematically embed Cloud engagement into our sales process, nor built a repeatable way of driving and amplifying new sales or account growth via our relationships with the Cloud providers.

We see tremendous potential here. Particularly with the advent of Generative AI, Faculty is uniquely well placed to become a key strategic partner of each of AWS, Microsoft and GCP.

We are looking for someone who is excited about creating and shaping this new venture within Faculty.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own Relationship with Cloud Service Providers: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Account Manager and Sector Lead Engagement: Establish and foster relationships with Faculty’s account manager as well as sector leads within cloud organisations to help them gain a deep understanding of Faculty and the services we offer.
  • Partner Programme Management: Manage and enhance our partner status on the partner programmes offered by cloud providers. This includes tracking customer opportunities, staff accreditations, and customer testimonials.
  • Marketplace Listing Management: Ensure our service offerings are accurately listed on cloud partner marketplaces, making it easy for potential clients to find and engage with our services.
  • Value-Added Services: Facilitate access to value-added services from cloud suppliers, such as training for our staff and support for projects. This includes building awareness of how to apply for cloud funding and credits to support client work.
  • Embedding Cloud partnerships within the sales process: Advocate for the importance of cloud partnerships within Faculty, working closely with sales and delivery teams to leverage these partnerships in bids and proposals. Provide practical support and guidance to sales teams on how best to engage Cloud partners in the sales cycle.

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience working for a cloud provider, or within a tech consultancy managing cloud partner relationships.
  • You are highly driven and motivated by seeing things through to completion.
  • You take pride in your strong attention to detail and are strongly process driven.
  • You are proactive and take initiative, consistently seeking opportunities to enhance your role and further develop the cloud partner programme.
  • You are comfortable with a high degree of ownership.
  • You are an excellent relationship builder and an outstanding external representative for Faculty.
  • You are able to build strong internal relationships and encourage support, buy in and collaboration from colleagues.

What we can offer you

The Faculty team is diverse and distinctive, and we all come from different personal, professional and organisational backgrounds. We all have one thing in common: we are driven by a deep intellectual curiosity that powers us forward each day. This curiosity pushes us to seek truth and understanding in everything we do, to execute work in a nimble and pragmatic manner, to foster talent in one another and always to challenge assumptions.

Faculty is the professional challenge of a lifetime. You’ll be surrounded by an impressive group of brilliant minds working to achieve our collective goals. Our data scientists, delivery consultants, product developers, business development specialists, operations professionals and more all bring something unique to Faculty, and you’ll learn something new from everyone you meet. You’ll also have the opportunity to make your mark on a high-growth start-up now poised to expand internationally.

Fostering talent is one of our core values, it’s built into our culture and what we offer. Faculty was founded by people who are passionate about continuous learning, and adding value to our people.
