AI Research Engineer

What we're looking for

We're looking for a skilled and motivated AI Research Engineer with deep knowledge in machine learning and NLP to join our team. You'll research and develop novel AI algorithms with large language models. We are looking for someone excited to try new ideas, read the latest papers and drive the model development from research to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new research ideas and algorithms to improve our models
  • Effectively manage and track model training experiments to maintain an organized record of results
  • Work on our machine learning training codebase to allow for fast iterations and learnings
  • Evaluate models and compare results to learn from each experiment
  • Process large datasets with parallelization in mind
  • Analyze datasets to find insights and track potential bugs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research in NLP and large language models
  • Deploy models to production and integrate with our backend

Experience

  • Trained and shipped NLP models to production
  • Strong coding skills in Python and knowledge machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, Jax, TensorFlow)
  • Worked with large, complex datasets and analyzed data trends and patterns
  • Deep knowledge of NLP models (GPT, BERT, T5, etc) and tasks
  • Built data pipelines (for example with Airflow, Beam) with a cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Computer vision knowledge (diffusion models, CNN)
  • 4+ years of working full-time
  • Nice to have: Academic publications in the field of NLP/LLM
