Role Overview
Harvey has found a massive product-market fit within the legal space, and we are significantly expanding the scale and capabilities of our offering as we grow. As Harvey becomes central to more and more use cases, helping users get started and find success with the product becomes critically important. The Discovery team’s charter is to help users understand what Harvey is capable of through browsing, personalized recommendations, and more. This is a new team that we’re building out from scratch. As a leader for this team, you will be responsible for building out the team and laying the groundwork for a lot of initiatives around Discovery at Harvey.
What You’ll Do
- Build out the Discovery team by attracting strong engineering talent, both internally and externally.
- Help define the charter for the team, along with cross-functional partners.
- Work closely with customers and cross-functional partners to understand customer pain points, identify opportunities, and develop a compelling roadmap.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, paired with innovation and calculated risk-taking.
- Help shape the broader Engineering and Tech org as Harvey goes through hypergrowth.
What You Have
- At least 2+ years of experience in a software engineering management role, leading teams focused on customer-facing product surfaces.
- Proven track record of building highly engaged and high-performing engineering teams
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer working on customer facing products.
- A plus: Direct experience working on product initiatives that require collaboration with dedicated external partners or customers.
Compensation Range
$250,000 - $300,000 USD
