Member of Technical Staff, Platform Software Engineer
Inflection AI is a public benefit corporation leveraging our world class large language model to build the first AI platform focused on the needs of the enterprise.
Who we are:
Inflection AI was re-founded in March of 2024 and our leadership team has assembled a team of kind, innovative, and collaborative individuals focused on building enterprise AI solutions. We are an organization passionate about what we are building, enjoy working together and strive to hire people with diverse backgrounds and experience.
Our first product, Pi, provides an empathetic and conversational chatbot. Pi is a public instance of building from our 350B+ frontier model with our sophisticated fine-tuning (10M+ examples), inference, and orchestration platform. We are now focusing on building new systems that directly support the needs of enterprise customers using this same approach.

About the Role
The Inflection platform is the foundation of everything we’re building for enterprise solutions. The core services which power our models, such as model inference and datastores, live within our platform. The platform also consists of services and APIs that support our work in finetuning, deployment, and partnership engineering for enterprise applications. Platform engineers use a mix of systems, infrastructure, API, and data engineering to help build and operate important components that power the platform.
This is a good role for you if you:
- Have diverse experiences building APIs and infrastructure for enterprise platforms.
- Enjoy wearing multiple hats and are excited to dive into a wide variety of technical challenges.
- Like working in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable refining high-level technical requirements into detailed specifications.
- Have some experience with standard ML frameworks and infrastructure. Ideally, you have experience using, deploying, and scaling LLMs, whether in a personal or professional capacity.
- Have extensive experience building applications using technologies such as Python, FastAPI, Kubernetes, Redis, and Postgres, and are proficient with PyTorch.
We do not require a specific university degree or years of experience. Instead we’re excited to see what you’ve been building. Please send us examples of your best work, including but not limited to links to open source contributions, personal projects or a cover letter describing past projects that you are proud of.
