Brand & Marketing Designer (San Francisco)
We’re looking for a multidisciplinary Brand & Marketing Designer to help bring Lakera’s visual presence to life across channels — with a strong emphasis on conceptual thinking and clarity in a technical space.
You’ll work closely with the marketing, product, and leadership teams to develop assets that translate complex technical ideas into compelling, high-impact design. This is an ideal role for a designer who’s excited about working in a technical space, loves storytelling through design, and wants to shape how we communicate with enterprise buyers, security teams, and technical decision-makers. As the creative heartbeat of Lakera, you’ll ensure every visual touchpoint is aligned with our mission and drives meaningful business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and extend Lakera’s brand identity — maintaining consistency while expanding its application across new touchpoints
- Translate abstract or technical concepts into clear, engaging visuals for campaigns, product launches, events, and digital platforms
- Collaborate with the marketing and product to develop compelling visuals that support awareness, engagement, and growth
- Support the design and upkeep of Lakera’s website, landing pages, and digital experiences (Webflow experience is a plus)
- Ensure visual consistency and quality across all branded content and external-facing design
- Work cross-functionally as a creative partner, helping to bring the Lakera story to life across the company
- Bring conceptual thinking to each design project — aligning creative decisions with audience needs and business goals
Qualifications & Skills
- 3-5+ years of experience in brand and marketing design, ideally in B2B or developer tools
- A strong portfolio demonstrating brand systems, conceptual work, and impactful marketing design
- Experience with web design and content management systems (Webflow is a plus)
- A strategic mindset with the ability to connect brand design decisions to user insight, business objectives, and market context
- Proven ability to go from concept to final execution, with an eye for detail and consistency
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and adapting designs to different audiences and formats
- Proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and (optionally) Webflow or motion/video tools
- Strong communication skills and creative instincts, paired with strategic thinking
- Comfortable in early-stage environments — proactive, adaptable, and able to bring structure to ambiguity
- Passionate about design, storytelling, and simplifying technical narratives through creative expression
