Responsibilities

• Design and implement Lakera’s core infrastructure and platform features in close collaboration with the founding team.
• Optimize and automate our cloud environments and Kubernetes clusters to support high availability and scalability.
• Develop and enhance our CI/CD pipelines, particularly through GitLab, to improve deployment speed and reliability.
• Collaborate with ML teams to build and maintain MLOps pipelines for model deployment and performance monitoring.
• Ensure the security and compliance of our infrastructure through best practices in IAM policies, network segmentation, and secret management.
• Mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

About you:

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related roles, with a strong impact on organizational infrastructure.
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS) and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm) and strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD or similar tools.
• Familiarity with MLOps pipelines and infrastructure for large language models (LLMs) in local or cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach to infrastructure challenges.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
