About the Role

The Senior Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for the validation of software and hardware processes on the manufacturing shop floor. This includes developing and executing test plans, analyzing test results, and reporting on the test status. The role requires a strong understanding of software and hardware testing, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the technical expert in the manufacturing facility, working closely with the engineering, operations and sales teams to deliver a complete solution (systems and clusters including compute, storage and networking setup from the component level for both the hardware and software) for the customer
  • Define and control production processes, including tooling, equipment and documentation ensuring all test procedures comply with company and industry standards
  • Build full documentation packages for manufacturing and train the technicians to execute the standard operating procedures for all assembly and test processes
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor applications of new product, tools, or equipment
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to refine performance in safety, quality, layout, flow and ensure sufficient capacity is in place to meet Lambda’s growth objectives
  • Support the launch of Tulip, our manufacturing execution system (MES), and establish a process for ensuring all configurations are supported through Tulip with appropriate SOPs and Data Collection Plans

  • Are an expert in systems design with direct experience in high-performance computing systems

  • Can navigate Linux as a system admin with competency
  • Have experience across compute, storage and networking

Nice to Have

  • Over 5 years of experience in engineering or sales engineering for enterprise hardware and/or software
  • Design and deployment of HPC clusters for internal or external customers 
  • Experience with providing consultative customer solutions with technologies such as: 
    • SFP+ fiber, InfiniBand (IB) / 100 GbE network fabric experience  
    • Ethernet, switching, power infrastructure, GPU direct, RDMA, NCCL, Horovod environment
    • SLURM, Kubernetes, or other job scheduling systems is STRONGLY preferred
    • Experience with distributed GPU training systems and third-party ML Ops platforms is a strong plus
  • Understanding of the hardware, software, and tools used by our customers for deep learning
  • Experience working with the technologies that underpin our business such as: Deep Learning frameworks, GPU acceleration, virtualization, and cloud computing.
  • General knowledge of the AI and Machine Learning marketplace and the major players
  • Innate curiosity about our customers and their technical needs
  • Keen situational awareness in customer situations, employing diplomacy and tact
  • Self-directed, results driven mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience

Salary Range Information 

Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $155,000 - $195,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
