Overview:
We are looking for a BI Engineer to focus on our customer-facing analytics platform. This includes critical applications and BI tools that allow LivePerson’s customers to report business metrics and generate insights. The role will be a senior engineer in ensuring best practices in query logic, data sizing, and data modeling. The business impact is that brands will have the analytics and tooling they need to manage contact centers and automate conversations.
You will:
- Develop a deep understanding of LivePerson’s data architecture and data mappings.
- Leverage Python to transform data from base events to aggregated metrics.
- Contribute to and extend LivePerson’s primary analytics platform based on MicroStrategy.
- Build templates to allow customers to integrate LivePerson’s data schema into their own in-house tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
- Work cross-functionally across engineering, product, and business teams to understand how customer data needs can best be met.
- Assist our engineers in designing a data architecture that supports speed and innovation in development.
- Work with innovative technologies incorporating AI, machine learning and conversational interfaces.
You have:
- 3+ Experience as BI Engineer - MUST
- 2+ MicroStrategy experience - nice to have
- 3+ years of experience in a Backend Engineering role working with databases and SQL - MUST
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring as well as working familiarity with a broad range of databases - MUST
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages, specifically Python - advantage
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conceptual knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g. GCP, AWS) for BI tooling
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with teammates in a highly collaborative environment and simultaneously be a self-starter with strong individual contributions.
