Fullstack Engineer (Java/Node.js)

Overview:

We are seeking a Fullstack Engineer (Java/Node.js) to join our Access Control & Authentication team. You will be part of a team that owns the entire User Management system, along with taking part in other Security Engineering related tasks.

You will:

• Contribute end-to-end to the product engineering lifecycle from frontend to the backend, including testing and automation, QA, CI, DevOps, and managing the production services.
• Use expert Java/NodeJS knowledge to build new features, maintain the platform's stability at LivePerson's scale and increase technical excellence.
• Scale our current system to serve 10x traffic in the next 12 months, with critical uptime over >99.999%.
• Drive architectural decisions and hands-on development, including inception, design, execution, and delivery following good design and coding practices.
• Optimize software, databases, queries, and processes – and induce a progressive mindset of excellence and improvements.
• Produce and inspire high-quality, well-tested code that is easy to read and maintain.
• Use the latest technologies to solve problems for our customers at a massive scale.
• Focus on production readiness including root cause analysis, testing, monitoring, reliability and documentation.
• Contribute to the team's on-call rotation to improve incident coverage.

You have:

• BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in Node.js and Typescript
• 3+ years of experience with VueJS framework (micro frontends a plus)
• Experience with large-scale distributed microservices architecture, AWS/GCP
• Understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Hands-on with CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and production readiness
• Enthusiastic about the end customer experience
• Experience with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones is a plus
• Experience in Java and SpringBoot is a plus
