Legal Counsel - Asia Pacific (Remote)

Overview:
Reporting to Managing Counsel, APAC, you will be responsible for negotiating and providing transactional support to secure the closure of complex commercial SaaS transactions with our customers, partners and strategic initiatives, provide strategic coaching and guidance in product counseling (including AI/data science), compliance, data privacy, security and other technological initiatives. You will collaborate with business partners across the company to accelerate key business initiatives.
You will:
- Sales Transactions: Structure, draft, manage, and negotiate complex SaaS commercial transactions, working directly with the company's customers and channel distribution partners. Manage multiple deals simultaneously across various sales teams in the Asia Pacific region.
- Strategy and Deal Management: Advise senior management and deal teams on legal, structural, product and other key issues that arise in these transactions. Partner closely with our sales team and various business stakeholders across departments to achieve the company's revenue goals and accelerate closure of sales deals.
- Privacy and General Matters: Work on a wide range of topics including, data privacy and protection, and new product launches. Streamline and automate common legal work flows to help optimize and scale the Legal department and its resources. Become involved in other day-to-day legal matters of importance to the growth of our business.
You have:
- 2-4 post-qualified years of relevant experience in house or at a recognised law firm.
- Experience with complex enterprise sales transactions related to SaaS or software products and services.
- Strong transactional drafting and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
- Good general management skills, related to the management of legal workflow.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Asia Pacific regional experience is regarded.
- Experience in providing legal advice to senior management levels.
- Law Degree with excellent academic credentials.
- License and certification to practice law in good standing.
