Overview:
We are looking for a Manager, FP&A (Expense Management), to manage expenses across our core business units. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead financial systems and process optimization, capturing efficiencies by simplifying data structure, streamlining workflows, standardizing templates, and identifying opportunities for automation. You help drive strategic decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the financial health of our organization.
You will:
Expense Management
- Develop and implement expense management strategies for our core business units.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand their expense needs and objectives.
- Analyze expense trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending corrective actions.
- Conduct regular variance analysis to assess actual expenses against budgeted amounts.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process for expenses across core business units.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and assumptions for budget development.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive budget proposals, aligning with our goals and growth strategies.
- Update and refine financial forecasts based on changing business conditions and market dynamics.
Financial Analysis
- Perform in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into expense patterns, trends, and drivers.
- Present findings to senior management and provide recommendations for cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Reporting and Communication
- Create and distribute regular financial reports and dashboards to communicate expense performance to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of expenses in the financial statements.
- Prepare presentations for executive leadership and board meetings, offering concise explanations of expense-related matters.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve expense reporting processes and enhance data accuracy.
- Implement best practices for expense tracking and reporting.
- Drive the adoption of financial tools and technologies that facilitate more efficient expense management.
Team Leadership
- Mentor other financial analysts responsible for expense-related tasks.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging development and growth.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, focusing on expense management and budgeting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to finance and non-finance audiences.
- Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role is preferred.
Benefits:
The salary range for this role will be between $120,000 to $145,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including your location, experience, education, and certifications. During the phone screening, the recruiter will provide the location-specific salary range for this role.
