Overview:
The team has an important role in large-scale onboarding and ensuring to provide error-free services to enterprise/marketplace customers. You will be at the heart of our product, deploying innovative features for thousands of users who work with our products on a daily basis.
We are currently seeking an experienced Backend JAVA developer to join our team of experts and drive the development of new and exciting new capabilities needed by the next generation of agents in the contact center. The work includes plenty of innovation while working over an architecture that manages millions of conversations per month.
What You Be Doing In This Role
- You will work in specific problem spaces, and use expert Java knowledge to build new features, maintain the platform’s stability at LivePerson’s scale and continuously increase your technical excellence score.
- Develop backend services using RESTful API conventions and microservices approach
- Monitor, test, and continuously optimize designs
- Deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data flows, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability and stability.
- Be part of a team that will take full operational responsibility for the services that you own, and potentially take part in an on-call rotation.
- Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers on a massive scale.
- Work with other engineers, engineering managers, and stakeholders to ensure valuable contributions, and groom the features that would define the product ahead.
- Engineering duties include technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and participation in peer code reviews.
- Providing on-call support.
What you need for success
- 5+ years of experience working with Java, and knowledge of JavaScript (plus)
- 5+ years of experience with RESTful API and large-scale distributed microservices architecture.
- 5+ years of experience in development with databases, SQL
- 3+ years of working knowledge with Cloud (GCP, AWS, On-Premise Data Centers).
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with teammates in a highly collaborative environment and simultaneously be a self-starter with strong individual contributions.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Working proficiency in English, and can easily communicate with globally distributed teams.
