Overview:
Reporting to the VP, Global Corporate Controller, you will lead a team responsible for the monthly and annual close process and financial reporting, ensuring timely filings.
You will:
- Management and oversight of the monthly close process
- Ownership of the monthly consolidation procedures and internal management reporting outputs
- Review and approve monthly closing workpapers and reconciliations (ie. bank recs, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals)
- Review and approve monthly journal entries
- Work with direct reports to establish goals and objectives, monitor and advise on progress, and provide constructive feedback to enhance the professional growth and development of staff
- Assist with focused technical accounting projects, including writing memorandums
- Provide support to the financial reporting team with the preparation of certain footnotes for the quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K)
- Plan, coordinate, lead, and execute operational accounting process automation initiatives
- Operate as the primary point-of-contact for quarterly and annual external audit deliverables
- Develop and maintain a well-documented system of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with overall control framework and SOX initiatives
- Support Global Controller with ad hoc special projects and workflow process improvements (including system implementations and workflow enhancements).
You have:
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Big 4 or other large public accounting firm experience required
- Proven history of effective management, including ability to lead and develop junior members of a team
- Robust interpersonal skills, both oral and written, with confidence to engage with senior Finance executives across multiple departments
- Willingness to adapt to a high growth environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with SAP General Ledger system, Concur, or FCCS a plus, but not expressly required.
- Strong Excel skills (formula design, pivot tables, charts)
Benefits:
The salary range for this role will be between $115,000 to $160,000 (USD). Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, your location, skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
