Overview:

Shark team

We are a team of software engineers who are passionate about technology, software development and learning. We are searching for smart and creative individuals who want to join us in our journey in delivering the best automation for LivepPerson services and conversations. Shark team is responsible for one of the busiest APIs in LivePerson serving millions of requests every day. Shark is a platform for visitor monitoring and engagement. Its monitoring collects visitors related events and engagement attributes. It decides in real-time when to engage visitors, e.g., by inviting them to start a Messaging conversation.

We are looking for smart, self-motivated software developers to join the “Shark” team. Good testing expertise, deep knowledge about reactive systems and the ability to work with distributed systems is essential for this role.

Our teams are autonomous, self-learning and provide support for the product. You will be part of our on-call and work with stakeholders in a collaborative manner. We recognize that things are not perfect here and we admit that we have challenges which need to be tackled. However, we are continuously improving and learning.

In this role you will:

• • Work under limited supervision/guidance and consistently deliver results.
  • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical. systems and delivering high-availability and performance.
  • Design, Build, and Deploy Java-based enterprise level solutions.
  • Design REST based API for backend services.
  • Build new and innovative features from initial concept to release.
  • Evaluate open source tools and frameworks.
  • Development of technical specifications and documentation.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in the following technologies-

  • Java 11
  • Spring, Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, Zookeeper
  • Python- optional
  • Kubernetes, GCP
  • Junit 4, Testcontainers
  • Git, Gitlab
  • Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, TeamCity
  • You are passionate and care about software development.
  • You have a flair for software design and like to talk about and discuss various software topics.
