Full Stack Engineer

We're looking for a well-rounded full-stack engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our core products. You’ll be the first full-time engineering hire at a well-funded startup and play a critical role in shaping the future of MetaVoice as a core member of the founding team.

You’ll have a keen eye for design, a portfolio of work that you’re proud of & experience with modern web technologies. We’re particularly interested in candidates who have been founders themselves or built impressive side projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working on our existing products to implement new features, re-implement existing ones, and fix issues.
• You’ll build projects from scratch, making intelligent trade-offs to balance speed with usability & scaleability
• You will seek to understand customer workflows & be responsible for UI (with help from contracted designers as needed).
• Assist in using product to learn & understanding customers deeply.
• Work closely with founders on all aspects of the technical side of the business

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of React/Next JS/Tailwind CSS building responsive apps across Mobile & Desktop browsers.
• Solid experience with Rest APIs and experience with FastAPI
• Strong feel for UX - ability to place yourself in customers' shoes and understand how every change improves UX for the user.
• A portfolio of well-executed products with strong UI/UX
• Creative thinker & problem solver who can execute independently & quickly with a bias for action
• An unrelenting desire to built world-class products which delight users
• Extremely smart, well rounded & proactive in taking ownership of problems across the startup
• Outstanding written, spoken & interpersonal communication skills

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Track record of impact in a high growth, product-led start-up, or as an indie dev
• Keen eye for design & some evidence of caring deeply about UI/UX
• Experience with Electron apps, Unity/Unreal plugins & building desktop applications for Windows/Mac
• Familiarity with tools for monitoring & analysing users, websites and API end-points
