What You Will Do
Are you ready to leverage your expertise in business systems engineering to transform and scale critical Finance systems in a dynamic and collaborative environment? Moveworks is seeking a Senior Business Systems Engineer with a passion for development and integrations to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity to expand, scale, and revolutionize our Finance systems stack, ensuring Moveworks remains at the forefront of operational excellence. As a pivotal part of our team, you'll engage in cross-collaborative efforts with a variety of teams, both technical and non-technical, including engineers, Finance, and HR. Your mission will be to advise, capture requirements, document best practices, build and/or configure impactful implementations that enhance our internal processes and operations.

- Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, People, GTM, IT, Product, and more to craft, review, and design requirements that address complex business challenges from a technical viewpoint
- Drive Automation and Integrations: Develop, test, and deploy automation and integration solutions through customization, configuration, and engineering efforts (e.g., ETL, scripting), enhancing efficiency and effectiveness
- Advise on Business Requirements: Work closely with stakeholders to define business requirements, offering insights on the utility of automation deployments and identifying unspoken technical risks or conflicting requirements as needed
- Develop Data Pipelines: Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, People, and IT to configure and develop data pipelines across systems, ensuring data accuracy and reliability
- Focus on Finance Systems Engineering: Spearhead engineering efforts for Finance systems (NetSuite, Avalara, Salesforce, Stripe), with opportunities to expand into G&A systems within People, Legal, IT, and beyond. Engage with the Moveworks product to develop novel use cases that enhance the employee experience
- Champion documentation practices, ensuring our business system architecture is well maintained
What You Bring To The Table
- 5+ years of relevant experience with NetSuite ERP and a proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining automations and integrations across systems such as Salesforce, Adaptive, Avalara, Okta, etc
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or equivalent experience in related fields
- Proficient understanding of key financial business processes (R2R, P2P, O2C), active certifications including NetSuite administrator and developer, and a working knowledge of SuiteCloud, SuiteScripts, SuiteFlows, JavaScript (ES6+), Python, SQL, and iPaaS platforms like Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or Celigo
- A relentless drive to learn new tools and skills, including AWS (S3, Lambda, API Gateway), Snowflake, ETL tools (Fivetran, Census), and BI tools (Mode, Looker)
Compensation Range: $155,000 - $190,000
*Our compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions or bonus plans.
Ultimately, in determining pay, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, the role’s scope and complexity, the candidate’s experience and expertise, and other factors.
