Overview:
As Engineering Manager, you will manage the Core team responsible for the core OctoAI compute service. This includes everything from our account signup and management flow, control plane, data plane, deployment orchestrator, proxy, and more. The services owned by the Core team form the foundation of OctoAI’s product, both for our externally hosted Generative AI API offerings, as well as internally by engineers to deploy said models in a scalable way.
We are looking for a “player-coach” manager who will be both a technically engaged leader, as well as an effective mentor and people manager for the team.
As an Engineering Manager for the Core team you will: Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company's size and industry and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes annual bonuses, equity, benefits, and other opportunities at OctoAI. In accordance with pay transparency laws, OctoAI is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. This is a reasonable estimate of the current salary range. We expect most candidates to fall in the middle of the range. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration, so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
