This role can be 100% remote.

Impact. Making a difference for yourself, your team, your company, your customers, your customers’ patients. It is not often that a role comes along that will demand that you leverage the entire spectrum of your abilities - technical, people, organizational, communication - on a daily basis. This role is a big responsibility, but will allow you great freedom to build your analytics environment and create impactful analytics products. This role is highly visible, you will need to own and drive analytics solutions - collaborating with product, engineering, and our customer teams, and you will also be responsible doing the work - building the tables, constructing the data sources, creating the Tableau dashboards, writing the documentation, training the users, maintaining the backlog of enhancement requests. If you are an exceptionally strong technical data analyst looking for a role where you are owning and driving work that is highly visible and foundational to the company’s success, this is the role for you.

About the role:

  • Support customer, product, implementation, and internal support teams by building curated data sources and dashboards.
  • Analytics as a product - we have a defined but flexible process for developing persona-based analytics work products. You will own and manage the analytics artifacts for your products - from working with engineering to expose the data you need, to leading wireframing sessions with SMEs and stakeholders, to building tables, datasources, dashboards, and documentation, to managing a backlog of enhancement requests.
  • Pivot to embedded analytics - while today our Tableau dashboards are internal, we will soon be pivoting to externally-facing dashboards that our customers can interact with directly. This will be an exciting new challenge for our team and you will be a key contributor to defining the process and the branding.
  • Ownership, collaboration, and flexibility are essential to this role. You can/will do it all - you will build it, document it, train people on it, maintain it. You will be given lots of freedom, and held to very high standards with fast turnaround times - and, fairly often, you will need to re-prioritize your work to help your team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in a quantitative discipline or a liberal arts degree with real world experience as a data analyst. Master Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics roles, with demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive complex, multi-faceted issues to decisions and resolution.
  • Ability to thrive on a lean team owning and managing multiple priorities/projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Laser-focus on results (getting things done on time with exceptional quality)
  • Collaborative team player invested in the full team’s success, not just your own
  • Expert-level SQL skills - you need to be able to articulate what you need, work with engineers to expose it, build a sustainable data model, and optimization for performance.
  • Advanced Tableau skills - experience working with product-embedded dashboards a plus
  • Strong and effective written and verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor your message to your audience, including ability to work in a self-directed environment

Preferred experience:

  • Databricks, Azure, AWS experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of data engineering and pipelines
  • EMR reporting experience
  • Healthcare analytics or revenue cycle experience, especially in a fast-paced and/or startup environment
  • Customer-facing experience, especially in an analytics role
