About the Team

OpenAI Finance is responsible for ensuring the organization is set up for success in pursuit of its mission. The OpenAI Revenue team works cross-functionally to grow and maintain the Company’s commercial offerings. This team oversees billing operations, deal desk, technical revenue analysis and revenue close, in ensuring the organization’s revenue processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations. 

About the Role

We are looking for a Deal Desk Manager who will assist in managing complex sales transactions and optimizing deal structures. This manager will collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, Billing Operations, and Legal teams to build and maintain scalable commercial processes. This is an individual contributor role who will report into the Senior Revenue Accounting Manager and will be essential in shaping the future of contracting and contributing to a world class finance team. 

This role is based in our San Francisco HQ. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

• Partner closely with Finance, Sales, Billing Operations, Legal, and related teams to help manage contracting workflows
• Ensure contract hygiene and compliance through cross-functional partnerships
• Build and implement accounting and contracting policies with cross functional stakeholders that would drive scalable operations
• Collaborate with Go-to-Market in managing and maintaining usage estimates and forecasts to remain compliant with ASC 606

We’re looking for a blend of:

• 4+ years of experience in the Enterprise SaaS/B2B industry, specifically with deal desk, revenue operations, sales operations, or finance operations
• Strong understanding of order-to-cash cycle and experience in building related processes
• Proficiency working with contracting systems, payment processors, and ERP systems (e.g. Stripe, Netsuite, Ironclad, Salesforce)
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, as well as GSuite, Slack, and Adobe Acrobat
• Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
