Solution Engineer (Post-Sales) (f/m/d)*

YOUR MISSION:

As Solution Engineer at Parloa, you are responsible for providing technical advice to our new and existing customers, integrating Parloa into their technical infrastructure and engineering cloud-based services and tools. As part of our dedicated Solutions Engineering team, you will be an interface between our engineering, product, and customer success teams, contributing to the success of the Parloa platform and customer projects.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Co-create technical solutions together with our customers and their technical teams.
  • Offer consultations to our customers and your non-technical colleagues on technical topics such as integrating customer backend and telephone systems, custom services & functionality, and technical voice bot logic.
  • Build serverless web services using TypeScript and cloud systems on Microsoft Azure to extend our product and provide custom functionality for customers.
  • Support the customer success team and their clients with your JavaScript skills to implement custom voice bot logic directly in Parloa according to the customers’ needs.

ON A TYPICAL DAY, YOU COULD: 

  • Join a customer call to learn about their telephony system and advise them on the best course of action to connect to Parloa.
  • Spend a few hours writing a custom service in Typescript to extend Parloa's core functionality.
  • Investigate a customer's internal tech stack (CRMs, DBs, …) and determine how Parloa can best connect to them.
  • Meet with a member of our CX-Design team to understand a specific use case and help them write short Javascript functions to accomplish their goal in the platform.
  • Investigate the cause of call or callflow issues in our elastic logs and communicate your results to internal or external stakeholders as appropriate.

TypeScript, Microsoft Azure Cloud (e.g. Azure Function Apps, Azure Cosmos DB), JavaScript, Python, PowerBI/Kibana

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing (post-sales) solutions engineering/architecting or software development. Ideally in a B2B context.
  • Keen interest in customer communication, digital voice assistants and other innovations, chatbots, and (Conversational) AI.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to "translate" between a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Strong, diverse technical skills and a good understanding of Javascript (Typescript is a bonus) and cloud computing 
  • Knowledge of or eagerness to learn about SIP and VoIP-telephony related topics.
  • Experience with or good  knowledge of REST-API services and constructing REST requests.
  • Ability to take ownership of a task from inception to completion; independent learner.

Bonus points if you also bring the following to the table:

  • Basic knowledge of conversational AI and NLU-related ML
  • Containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes experience

Salary Range
