Machine Learning Engineer

Pinecone is pioneering a vector database to power modern AI/ML applications. We provide customers with capabilities that until now have only been in the hands of a few tech giants. Our team & investors previously launched Amazon SageMaker, built infra at Google & Facebook, ran ML platforms at Splunk, and acted as Snowflake, Elastic and Couchbase executives.

We are looking for an experienced ML Engineer to join our Relevance team, whose charter is to build better semantic search services using state of the art NLP and vector search, together with traditional IR technologies. 

As our ML Engineer you will be a part of a team of Data Scientists, Search Engineers and Backend Engineers to deploy ML models for generating embeddings & search re-ranking, create labeling and data collection pipelines, as well as optimize the performance of semantic search applications.

You will partner closely with our engineering, applied research and product leaders to leverage our core database and support search applications seamlessly.
