Staff Engineer: Full Stack

As a Staff Engineer at Pinecone’s Experience Team, you will own, design, and lead the development of complex end-to-end components, and tackle unsolved problems. You will build web applications with a delightful, intuitive, and frictionless user experience for ML engineers and data scientists. You will develop the vision and technical strategy of web experience initiatives, work directly with customers, and mentor other engineers. You will work in a challenging and rewarding environment that includes both teamwork and a high level of autonomy.  

Staff Engineers at Pinecone lead complex projects and take on large-scale company responsibilities such as API strategy, vector analytics, usability, interface design and more.

What we look for:

• 5+ years of full stack development experience; design, architecture and implementation of both frontend and backend components, databases and web services
• Experience designing RESTful APIs across multiple services
• Strong proficiency in React; developing reusable components and frontend architecture
• Strong proficiency in cloud technologies, AWS and GCP
• Experience with Material Design, Responsive Web Design, and related frameworks
• Sound fundamentals of data structures and algorithms

Bonus points:

• Familiarity with d3.js or any other data-visualization library
• Experience with Query engines, data warehouses or other Data-intensive applications
• Proficiency in Go or Rust; and familiarity with web servers and database
