Director of IT

Your New Role and Team
Our Operations team is looking to hire a Director of IT. Reporting to the VP Operations, you’ll be responsible for operational success, strategic alignment, and integration of activities with other major organizational functions.

The best candidates for the Director of IT role have excellent technical and managerial skills in the domain of information systems and cyber security. You’ll be a valued contributor responsible for a number of measurable functional, operational, and strategic goals or priorities. Additionally, the Director of IT will be responsible for the successful implementation of business plans in information systems and cyber security. You will contribute to the overall strategic definition of a function with strong business acumen and act as a key advisor to management.

  • Bring hands-on experience managing successful enterprise IT services for complex technology businesses
  • Gain cutting-edge career experience by setting team initiatives, allocating resources for programs and projects, and ensuring timely/effective delivery of enterprise IT programs
  • Provide leadership for those involved in the development, design, and optimization of IT Systems functions that support business processes and technical system platforms
  • Oversee analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software, and database management
  • Provide strategic direction in protecting the company’s data, tools, platforms, and information systems
  • Ensure infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility
  • Coordinate delivery of services to user groups and ensure achievement of relevant enterprise IT metrics and commitments per business goals and objectives
  • Expand your leadership abilities as a liaison between IT and other functions in the company
  • Consult with business leaders at the executive level to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope (e.g. mitigating risk, approving programs/deals)
  • Gain company-wide visibility as you ensure IT strategies and initiatives are integrated with org-wide business strategies

  • Your Experience
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Computer Science, advanced technical degree, or equivalent industry experience
  • 10+ years of experience in an IT function or exhibiting an exceptional background in relevant areas of business systems management
  • 4+ years of people management experience

  • Comprehensive ability to provide IT consultation to senior managers
  • Extensive expertise in developing and delivering IT products and solutions
  • Proven project management and prioritization skills
  • Adept people management skills, including managing local and remote teams
  • Ability to build partnerships across various functions of the business

  • Comprehensive leadership and staff development skills
  • Proven consulting, influence, and negotiation skills
