Sanctuary AI, a world leader in building AI-based control systems for humanoid robots, is looking to hire a Director, Product Development & Management to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Product & Technology Officer, this pivotal role will oversee the product management group, driving the development and execution of our product strategy. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who combines deep industry knowledge with a passion for innovative solutions.

Our Success Criteria

Work with leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product and program managers, fostering a high-performance culture that delivers on ambitious goals

Align product development initiatives with business goals and market needs

Support the product development team, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products

Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to senior management and stakeholders

Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch

Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other technical teams to develop product specifications and ensure feasibility

Understand and contribute to the technical aspects of product development

Ensure the product meets technical specifications and performance standards

Define and track key performance indicators to measure success

Gather and analyze data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement

Manage product lifecycle, including updates, improvements, and end-of-life strategies

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support) to guide products from conception to launch

Your Experience

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field, OR equivalent experience in Technology Development and Productization

A minimum of 7+ years of experience in a technical leadership role within the software and/or robotics technology sector, with a proven track record of successful product development

Understanding of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or robotics and their applications in a variety of industries

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving strategic objectives; lead through dotted line relationships and cross functional collaboration

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a knack for building and maintaining strong professional relationships

Strategic thinker with an analytical mind, capable of making data-driven decisions and identifying new opportunities for innovation and collaboration

Ability to guide and support the technical team

The ability to articulate complex technical concepts and strategic visions clearly and persuasively to a diverse range of stakeholders, from technical experts to non-technical partners

About Sanctuary AI

Founded in 2018, Sanctuary builds humanoid robots and a novel control system for them that integrates symbolic logic and reasoning with data-driven robot foundation models.
