Technical Artist / 3D Motion Designer

Your New Role and Team
Our Marketing and Communications team is looking to hire a Technical Artist / 3D Motion Designer. Reporting to our Creative Director, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of our product’s design, capabilities, features, and customer benefits as you join us on our mission to create the world’s first human-like intelligence in general-purpose robots.

The ideal candidate for the Technical Artist / 3D Motion Designer position enjoys active participation in the creative production process and possesses the technical know-how to bring a creative vision to reality. The Technical Artist / 3D Motion Designer will also get a chance to work with engineers and research scientists throughout the product development cycle. If you are passionate about keeping up with the latest tools and methodologies for the creative production process and you want to work on the very cutting edge of both AI and Robotics development, this is the role for you.

Our Success Criteria
  • Bring hands-on Technical Artist  and 3D Motion Design experience to ensure the utmost quality of assets through production
  • Gain cutting edge platform experience as you create tools and scripts to assist research scientists and engineers with content, lighting, and shading matters
  • Expand your career experience as you design and implement elegant data-driven content creation pipelines
  • Achieve company-wide visibility as you partner closely with engineers to inject/troubleshoot various assets utilized by our world engine

  • Your Experience
    Qualifications
  • Between 3-5+ years of Technical Artist experience in the visual effects, creative product, or gaming industry as a technical artist, 3D motion designer, or generalist
  • Strong technical expertise in modeling, texturing, and rigging
  • Working experience in animation, lighting, rendering, motion capture, and compositing
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent real-world experience

  • Skills
  • Experienced with Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, or similar
  • Experience with Unreal 4/5, Unity, or similar 3D game engines
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud incl. Premiere Pro & After Effects
  • Experience creating and optimizing materials and shaders
  • Knowledge of art creation pipelines, asset exporting, and process automation software
  • Experience with production management software such as JIRA
