About The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a proven track record of successfully managing product planning & development of large-scale software platforms. As a TPM you will support the end to end development of our novel AI and Simulation platform for drug discovery and materials design from inception to release. You will work with product and engineering leaderships to help refine the product vision/roadmap, and bring it to life by turning that vision into concrete and executable launch/release plans. You will manage the scope, schedule, dependencies and risk mitigation plans in order to streamline the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team and ensure our products are enterprise grade. You will define and monitor key performance indicators for program success and drive communication & visibility to the stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with Product and Engineering to define the scope, execution strategy, releases, success metrics, resources planning, timelines and deliverables for new product and feature development.
- Coordinate resources, capacity planning, and the prioritization of development work to ensure the realization of the product strategy.
- Drive product execution, lead the timely delivery of new product releases, ensuring that KPIs for tracking quality, delivery and predictability are met.
- Setup teams for agile development by leading scrum ceremonies, managing team backlogs, sprints and retrospectives, track and maintain activities, tasks, and milestones through development and delivery cycles.
- Identify and mitigate risks, remove roadblocks and collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to drive alignment & consensus.
- Collaborate with the development team to build and improve processes that increase efficiency, engineering velocity and the overall operating rhythm of product development, ensuring product releases are delivered on time and on budget.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across technical programs and manage communications with various stakeholders, including leadership and customers. Communicate release plans and progress to stakeholders and development teams.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Customer Engineers and Engagement Managers to align on requirements, scope, timeline and product deliverables to support internal users and external customer engagements.
- Align with business, engineering, and product teams to balance highest priority customer requirements with the long term product visionSupport product and engineering team on daily operational needs - driving engineering discussions, and meetings and managing meeting artifacts, helping set up the right tools and development environments
- Coordinate with vendors and partners who provide services or technology that enable or accelerate product development, deployment and or usage, including cloud computing vendors.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in leading a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, and rapidly evolving software product development programs from inception through launch, including small releases to major feature launches focused on leveraging advanced computing technologies for scientific computing and simulations
- Experience in managing programs for developing cloud-based software products
- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work independently to demanding, changing schedules and priorities.
- Experience in working with multidisciplinary and cross-functional engineering and R&D teams, including team members with different technical backgrounds
- Experience with Agile product development principles and ability to design, manage and improve scrum processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal experience, including relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team.
- Ability to work in a growing organization, and deal with uncertainty and fluidity
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or Ph.D. in one of the STEM fields or related areas
- Familiarity with one or more of the following domains: Chemistry, Medical sciences, Physics (Quantum) or equivalent field degree
- Thrives in ambiguity, has a bias for action, and a self starter that has the ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
- Understanding of advanced computing technologies for simulation products
- Familiarity with AI, and emerging machine learning workflows
The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $196k - $321k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
