Composite Manufacturing Tooling Engineer (R2571)

Job Description
The Composite Manufacturing Tooling Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing tooling solutions to optimize the manufacturing process of composite materials. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling systems meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
What You'll Do:
  • Design and develop tooling solutions, including molds, fixtures, and jigs, for composite manufacturing processes
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed models of tooling components
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers to optimize processes, select materials, and create ply schedules
  • Required Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in composite manufacturing and tooling design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools for structural analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and fabrication techniques.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in relevant field.
  • Experience with CNC machining, 3D printing, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
