Engineering Technician II, Welder (TEMP) (R2935)

We are seeking an experienced Welder with expertise in both TIG and MIG welding techniques to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding titanium and mild steel, with a strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, measure and align workpieces, and operate welding equipment. This role involves welding titanium for precision work on roll cages, piping, and small parts, as well as working on structural projects using mild steel. The candidate should be comfortable welding thin metals between 14–20-gauge sizes and have a keen eye for detail and quality. Safety and accuracy are essential in this position
What you'll do:
  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on titanium and mild steel for various projects, including precision work and structural applications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, measuring and aligning workpieces to ensure accurate welds.
  • Weld thin metals, primarily between 14–20-gauge sizes, with attention to detail and quality control.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Required qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in TIG and MIG welding, with proficiency in both techniques.
  • Experience welding titanium and mild steel, including work on thin metals (14–20-gauge).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for precise welding applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Experience with both structural and precision welding projects, with a focus on accuracy and craftsmanship.
