Job Description:
The Fleet Inventory Supervisor will oversee and manage an inventory control processes, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of our inventory management system. This role will focus on supporting the establishment and management of V-BAT spare parts and supporting equipment inventories for internal company assets. Responsibilities include coordinating with various departments, implementing best practices, and leading a team of inventory staff to maintain optimal stock levels and enhance overall business operations.
What You'll Do:
  • Oversee daily inventory operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
  • Monitor stock levels and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Oversee the recruitment, supervision, and training of inventory staff. This includes assigning tasks, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing personnel issues while reporting any significant concerns to upper management to maintain high productivity and morale.
  • Procure replacement items based upon established re-order points, maintaining appropriate supply for operational needs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Report on inventory levels, supply chain order progress, and procedural efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards related to inventory management and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe and organized inventory environment.
  • Address and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate with a cross-functional team of operators, inventory professionals and engineers to continuously refine the appropriate breadth and depth of the required company owned spare parts inventory. 
  • Coordinate the assembly of gear and spare part kits for internal company deployments.
  • Coordinate with finance to appropriately charge internal customers for use of spare parts.
  • Oversee the inspection of return gear to assess condition and ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the fleet manager to ensure the quantity of spares parts grows at a pace to keep up with the growth of company aircraft. This includes reporting on inventory levels and supply chain order status.
  • Propose strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency of the internal spare parts inventory system. 
  • Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of inventory management or related experience 
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates .
  • Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies. 
  • Experience conducting tracking and data analysis. 
  • Possess superior time management, organizational and communication skills. 
  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively on projects and assignments.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to interface cooperatively with departmental personnel and customers. 
  • Ability to handle multiple task prioritizations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experiences. 
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, resources, and multidisciplinary teams.  
  • Significant experience and excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite.  
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Management, Supply Chain, or similar area of study 
  • Previous experience with a military maintenance organization 
  • Experience with aviation (or similar large equipment) supply systems and part nomenclature.  
  • Experience / familiarity with Cost Point ERP 
  • Experience in field of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)

    Total package details:
    Regular employee positions: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity
    Temporary employee positions: Hourly within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)
